The Untha XR3000C is a robust industrial shredder for shredding demolition wood, commercial and household waste. The company needed a shredder that did a good job with wood on a daily basis, but that could also be deployed when needed to shred other materials.
The Solution
The Untha XR3000C is a single-shaft shredder with high throughput capacity, suited for varied waste fractions. The machine features automatic reversing on overload and a robust cutting unit for long operating intervals between services. The machine is equipped with Untha Ecodrive, a direct-driven permanent magnet motor that delivers extremely high torque from the start. This makes it well suited to demanding materials. The machine is fully electric in operation, but can also be moved between locations at the facility on tracks. The tracks can be powered by a small petrol generator when the machine is not connected to mains power.

The machine is in continuous operation processing large volumes of commercial and residual waste at the facility.
